Here are some pictures of an air conditioning job Billings Sheet Metal installed. This unit is a 720,000 BTU air conditioner. The duct work is 5 foot x 3 foot with stiffeners placed through it. The frame for the unit is made of 9 inch "C" channel. The three "I" beams are 4 inch with a 14 inch web and are 30 feet long. All the "I" beams are bolted to the existing "I" beams that support the roof. The existing "I" beams had to be reinforced with 5/8 inch thick plate steel to support the new A/C unit.
